Alex Lim, a member of the Shuttlesport Elite Team capped off a wonderful weekend by capturing the Under 16 Boy’s Singles Provincial title. Alex, who was seeded in the 5/8 spot going into the tournament played very well in the quarter finals to defeat #3/4 seed Alex Lin in 3 games. Then he played probably his best match of the tournament to defeat #2 James Ho in 2 games. On the Sunday final Alex met unseeded Calvin Che who earlier in the tournament had knocked off the #1 seed. It was down to the 3rd game in a hard fought final where Alex and Calvin split the first 2 games. In the 3rd game Alex picked up the tempo and played a solid game to win 21-15 and capture his first Provincial ‘A’ title.
