Shuttlesport played host to the 2011 Shuttlesport provincial ‘B’ tournament on November 18 & 19. The club had a particularly good showing by winning 15 individual titles. Led by the girls who won 8 titles in total in the various age groups. Emma Liu and Laura Tacon led the way by winning two titles each. Emma won the Under 16 Girls Singles and Laura won the Under 19 Girls Singles and the two combined to win the Under 19 Girls Doubles. In addition, Coco Lee/Nicole Sue won the Under 12 Girls Doubles, and Eliza Lim/Jessie Wong won the Under 16 Girls Doubles. Sisters Priscilla Chan(U16) and Sarah Chan(U14) combined with their respective partners to win the Mixed Doubles events. Finally for the girls was Wendy Feng and partner winning the Under 14 Girls Doubles event. The boys were not to be out done as they fought their way to 7 titles. Allan Ng, Oscar Zhen, Curtis Liu, and Irwin Ng combined to sweep all the Under 19 events and got good support from youngsters Joshua Au(U12 BS), Michael Chan(U12 BD), Kevin Zhu(U12 MX), and Clarence Liu(U14 BD) who each won one title. The club had many players playing in their first ever provincial tournaments and showed great promise with their strong performances.
