Arif owns and operates Shuttlesport International which he founded in the year 2000. The mandate of Shuttlesport is to raise the bar for athletes and coaches by providing the tools necessary to excel.
Arif (Al) Mawani has made a special effort to provide leadership in the world of sport and to develop grassroots to elite programs. He is unique in that he brings a wealth of theoretical and practical experience to his work as well as extensive international knowledge of other cultures. His publications are a result of his passion for excellence. In February 2005 Arif was inducted to the Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame.
